Robin Zarel, LCSW, ACSW, is a psychotherapist currently in private practice with over 40 years experience working with individuals, couples, and groups. In addition to her private practice, Robin is an experienced EAP consultant and professional. She created, implemented, and managed the Employee Assistance Program for The Fashion Institute of Technology from August 1990 - May 2022. During her 31 years at FIT, Robin assisted countless employees and senior management in resolving personal and organizational issues. 
An experienced clinician trained in various treatment modalities including psychodynamic and psychoanalytic psychotherapy, clinical hypnosis, solution focused therapy, crisis intervention and the addictions, Robin assesses each client situation to match the approach to what is needed to resolve the problem. Specializing in health and wellness issues, anxiety, depression, interpersonal, relationship and work difficulties, Robin has guest lectured at major corporations throughout New York City, and served on panels with some of the top oncologists in the country. She has been interviewed by various media outlets for her expertise on dealing with chronic and life threatening illness. Additionally, she has led workshops and participated on panels with leading oncologists. For 27 years, Robin served on the Board of The Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance, was the Chairperson of their Woman to Woman Program, a survivor mentoring program assisting newly diagnosed ovarian cancer patients, and was on the Advisory Board of the Woman to Woman Program at Mt. Sinai Hospital.

A graduate of the Hunter College School of Social Work where she received her MSW in 1977, Robin has completed additional training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy, addictions, and clinical hypnosis. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, American Society of Clinical Hypnosis, Employee Assistance Professional Association, and the Occupation Clinical Professionals Organization.
